From Alchemy to Astrochemistry

On this website, you are invited on a journey that spans from ancient traditional wisdom of alchemy to the most innovative aspects of modern chemistry. It covers a spectrum ranging from the hazards of cleaning and cosmetic chemicals to natural alternatives, from the scents of perfume essences to the fragrance of natural aromatic oils, from the principles of nano-technological green chemistry to the mysteries of matter and energy in the quantum universe of astrochemistry, and finally, to the mental and spiritual transformation, or evolution, of humans. Explore research on sustainability and holistic health, along with synthesized knowledge and discoveries based on personal experiences. Opening the doors to understanding humanity, the world, and the universe requires courage, awareness, and knowledge.

Alchemy, which played a significant role in the Western world from the 8th to the 17th century, is a discipline that blends mystical and scientific elements. Although known for its primary goal of transmuting metals into gold and achieving immortality, alchemy also aims to understand the fundamental building blocks of both microcosm (humans) and macrocosm (the universe). Alchemy not only transforms matter but also represents a spiritual transformation, or evolution. The legacy of alchemy marks an important period in the history of scientific chemistry, leaving a lasting impact.

Astrochemistry is a new field of chemistry where the subatomic quantum physics of chemistry merges with astrophysics, studying the composition, structure, and evolution of matter in space. Research in this field aims to understand the chemical components and origins of planets, stars, galaxies, and other astronomical objects. By examining chemical components in space, it seeks to comprehend the evolution of the universe. Astrochemistry is also concerned with the relationship between matter and energy, a concept concretized in modern physics through Einstein's formulas, while exploring how the chemistry of the universe influences human emotions, thoughts, and life—blending the mystical and social aspects of science.

Green Chemistry is an emerging movement that aims to eliminate or reduce pollution caused during the design, production, and use of chemicals that exist in all aspects of life. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defines it as encouraging innovative technologies that eliminate or reduce pollution during the design, production, and use of chemicals.

Environmental issues, climate change, and global economic upheaval negatively affect both current and future generations. The solution lies in integrating green entrepreneurship, green economy, green technology, green chemistry, zero waste, recycling, conscious consumption, savings, renewable energy sources, and ecological-organic farming into our lives for ourselves and future generations. This approach contributes to environmental sustainability from both ecological and economic perspectives, promoting economic development, income growth, employment, and poverty reduction.

Holistic health recognizes that humans are multidimensional beings composed of body, mind, and soul, not reducible to individual organs or systems, and that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Holistic health encompasses not only physical health but also a comprehensive understanding that includes mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health. This approach aims to address individuals as a whole, promoting a balanced lifestyle and the establishment of healthy relationships.

Wellness is a comprehensive approach aimed at enhancing an individual's overall health, happiness, and quality of life. Elements such as physical activity, healthy nutrition, stress management, maintaining emotional and mental balance, and balancing social relationships form the fundamental aspects of well-being. This holistic approach supports individuals in leading more balanced and satisfying lives by nurturing their physical, mental, spiritual, and social health.

"Without whole, it is not possible to heal a part."
